opening/editing MS Word document

Hi there,

I want to open a pre-edited MS Word file when I click the link and it opens in a new window.

I also would like to now if its possible to grant or not editing previledge.

by the way i'm using visual web developer... just in case it makes it easier..

Opening the file is easy, just provide a link. As long as the client is set to open that extension (.DOC) as a Word document, it will. What exactly are you trying to do with the priveleges?

thanks.. the previleges thing i'll do it later... I'm try to do it with the login ID.
